It’s that though we learn from our mistakes we’re condemned,
To make those same mistakes
again and again.
The moon appearing in the sky was more than just hope for Arah, it was a promise. From seeing the moon, Arah knew that the gods would soon return to them. Ivory head tilted right back, golden orbs resting on the moon, Arah for the first time in a while felt a peace. Her body and mind was relaxed, her mind was not racing and there was not need to be anywhere. Arah needed the gods to return, she needed to know who....what had happened to their world. Only the gods would be able to tell them that. The Ivory mare had left the basin, traveling in order to get her thoughts together had seemed like a good plan. So far it was going well, she had made her mind up about a few things and was feeling like today was going to be quite a successful day.

Then a roar burst from the mountains, causing the ivory mare to freeze in horror and fear. The sound of the chilling roar carried on through out the land, being carried by the wind that tossed her mane and tail. Snow fell from the highest peaks, her golden orbs watched it fall. And heavy, white powder cascading like a blanket of wintry death to the flats below. She was lucky to be able to see the show, but she was not so lucky when her eyes laid themselves upon what had emerged from the depths. She did not know what it was, nor did she care, already the training she had recently received was kicking in. The scars still were fresh reminders of each bite, horn scrape or cut, each shove and every near death call she had experienced since arriving at Helovia. A gigantic, scaled body hit the side of a small dune of snow and wasted it away, Arah's heart began pounding.

The monster's height was something close to a small mountain, and the scales that gleamed in the sunlight seemed impenetrable. The monster in all it's towering glory is still not enough to make her back away from the challenge it presented. She had taken on the Sun's god's own glass bear before, the scars from that battle still were visible on her coat. She studies it's thick, sturdy, strong and impressive body. Massive, bone back spines are visible on it's back, each one would take her life with ease. A shiver rolls itself down her spine, she holds herself strongly in the defensive position though. One, thick, flat horn protrudes from its forehead the power of the knife would be able to slice her open with ease, it wouldn't have to even give her a second thought if it got a clear shot. She can also she the clear blue of it's eyes, the same colour eyes as her mother. The blue that spill from it looks to be hazardous.

It lets out another roar, a call, a challenge. Arah could not believe what she was about to do. She was going to take on it's challenge, and when...if she defeated it, should would stick it's challenge back up it's arse.

However she was well aware of the fact that she was about to die.

"Alright. Lets do this." Sighing she picks up a full gallop hoping to get as close to it as possible. Coming to a stop on font of it, Arah slammed the brakes on and skidded to a stop. "Ready when you are." Not actually waiting on the monster the mare starting galloping again, out of the corner of her eyes she saw another figure rushing towards the other leg. Her head was bent and antlers aimed, the doe hoped to injure the monster the loomed before her. Aware that she would have to avoid the blue goo spilling from the monster, the mare aimed for the monster's leg. She hoped not to just scrape it's leg, but that her antlers would be strong enough to break the scales and enter the leg.

[Arah charges the left leg hoping to stab her antlers into the best's flesh, there forth breaking the scales around her antler's entry point.]

And I ain't afraid to die, I’m afraid of going to hell.
