Saga
In the dark you tell me of a flower
that only blooms in the violet hour

Saga was following the rise of the moon. It was the first sign of light outside of the lamp trees that she had seen since she entered Helovia and watched her last sunset at it's borders. She raced through the night, until she reached an opening and could view the mountain in the distance. She had only been standing there a heartbeat before the ground begun to tremble and something otherworldly erupted from it's womb. Instinctively, Saga raised up on her stout hind quarters throwing her head back in surprise. What the hell is that thing?! Her mind reeled with uncertainty. Saga landed back to the ground with a thunk. Her violet eyes shifted instantly over the land to see if she could make out any other creatures, but she saw only the one. It was large and loud, something that was intimidating when shoved into one package.

It did not take long for the beating of wings to reach her lobes, which stood at attention. It was like the beating war drums; How very appropriate. Saga stood back apprehensive at first, then she caught site of the two other unicorns. Both she new were from the Basin, but she had not met them yet. She took a deep breath trying to figure out what it was she wanted to do. She could always take the cowards way out and run, but she knew that it was simply not an option. This creature was big enough it would only be a matter of time before it reach any safe haven she found. Glaring upwards, she looked for any structural weakness, and found nothing. It did honestly seem a little fruitless to try. Perhaps, if they all worked together they could at least find it's weakness, if it had one.

Saga watched as each drew up their own plans and course of action. Well, there goes that idea, but all was not lost. She headed back into the forest in search of a vine long enough the reach around the demon spawn. She had no magic to use against it; So, she had to become a little more creative. But she would have to enlist the help of the others that littered this new battlefield. She searched all through the forest, finally finding a vine she thought might would work. It is not as long as I would like, but it will have to do. It did at least seem nice and sturdy as she chewed through the thick skin of the vine. Wrapping it up as best she could; She picked it up, and race out towards the General and where D'art stood catching his breath.

It was not much, but it was all she had.
