It was somewhat unexpected for the limb she barreled into to just... come entirely loose. No blood, no wrenching of bones from their sockets. Just a sudden howl of wind that filled her ears as her shoulder reminded her of how much it'd hurt the last time she'd tried to take something out full force like that. And then she was tripping over the falling plates of obsidian, stumbling and splashing but somehow not falling, even when one plate bounced off her back. Surrounded by spreading ripples, she laughed, unfazed when an unnatural set of claws swept toward her but fell short.
But her gaze still tracked that set of claws, and a brief thought was all the alert her bonded needed when those uncanny weapons were redirected upward to swipe at the dragon. Shrieking his defiance again, Zaffre darted away, diving down toward the unseparated shoulder of the creature and making that swipe miss him entirely. He swept around, staying close to the creature, trilling a greeting to the Resolute as he darted around her, only to make a full circuit and flew back at the creature's face, focusing on the left eye with every intent to rip the orb from its socket.
Pleased that injuries to herself were minimal and her bonded still completely safe, the Wild Rose heeded Kri's suggestions. Wading through the waves in quick surging bounds, keen on getting clear of the spent armor plates that could easily trip her up, she moved to join Paladin. Her gaze flicked briefly toward the strangers that had come to the shore to aid them, who'd also moved to support the Valiant's attack. A quick grin before she chimed out to her friend, "Guess I'll have to do something about that later."
Then she was angling herself to present her other shoulder, driving in with the intent to reproduce her earlier results upon this new limb that her comrades had weakened.
