Saga
In the dark you tell me of a flower
that only blooms in the violet hour

Saga made her way from the basin for the only the second time since her arrival. She followed the winding paths, that seemed to have become that much brighter when lady luna reached her crest for the first time in what Saga could only imagine as a long time. She had noticed that almost everyone she met has seemed off, as if they had received a lobotomy of sorts. It was unnerving to say the least. She had been wandering aimlessly really trying to figure out the layout of the land. Each path she took she made small mental notes of the landscape and landmarks that stuck out to her. However, she currently had a bit of a hard time due to the rain, sleet and snow that enveloped most of the land. Saga slowed her pace as the sound of crashing water filled her ears. She was not fond of oceans really. They were often to bear and much to far from the comfort of a forest for her taste, but to her resounding disappointment that was exactly where she ended up.

She eased out on the shore of the water. Her hooves sunk into the shifting sands. Why does sand always have to be so damn hard to walk in Her mind growled at her current predicament. Granted she could only blame herself. Simply giving up, Saga stops and lifts her violet hued pools to search her current arena. Look what we have here, and equine. It has been and awfully long time since I have had a chat with a different species, her thoughts were benign in nature. Honestly, Saga was rather neutral when it came to the other races. Then again she was not sure what her herd leaders views were on the subject. Oh well. Saga often found that the other races had some of the most fascinating stories to tell. Many of which she had commit to memory. Clearing her throat to gain the mares attention, she moved to close the distance between them. "It is....endless is it not?" She gave a gentle nod of her head towards the sea. " I am Saga." Saga had a thing about introductions. She always like to know the name of the individual she was chatting up. So she always tried to extend the courtesy first.

She stopped several feet away, staying clear of the waters edge, and making sure she did not crowded the unnamed equine. A small part of her cursed herself for leaving the warmth that surrounded the hot spring in the Basin. She had been spoiled by its welcoming comfort. And she had left it for the ocean. If she had known she would have taken a different path. Well lets hope the conversation makes it worth the trip.
