Arlo is currently in the Threshold with Seele, where he is about to join the Asylum:

He then followed Seele to the marsh where he took part in a herd meeting, where he was poisoned along with the rest of them:

Calling all units. Attend.

He storms into battle, where he ends up fighting Ulrik, until Ulrik runs from the fight because Pysche failed:

Dying is your latest fashion.

After Ulrik leaves the fight, Arlo wanders off, not wanting to face Seele yet, after what was technically a loss. He has a nervous breakdown and lets his good side take over his consciousness again and he meets Torliek:

Burn, Burn, the life you cannot choose.

He then decides that in order to escape Seeles wrath he would bring home a recruit, so he travels to the threshold, and manages to convince Circuta to accompany him home:

Sometimes, I imagine six impossible things before breakfast.
