((Hello again Bunnie, new thread different characters, hurray.))

A small figure stood beneath the trees, pale as the Moon above, and hidden just as She was, peering around the camouflaging presence of the trees. Golden eyes peered at the stranger with undisguised interest, watching his slow progress deeper into the woods of home. An ear twitched, tilting off in the direction that the Dragonheart had gone, while the other remained cocked forward. The stranger spoke, garnering a slight quiver of champagne colored hide as he sought around for another. His watcher paused, waiting to see who else might be around, before venturing out of hiding.

Petite hooves made barely a sound on the deep loam that cushioned them, and their approach might have gone completely unnoticed for a time if an unconscious flick of a long, tasseled tail did not slap against the naked branches of a low-growing shrub. The rustle that emitted from the contact earned a twinge from the pale creature that had been attempting to pull off an imitation of the Dragonheart's trademark silent approaches and disappearances. A low sigh escaped, preluding the quieter rustle of leathery wings that shifted, rising and falling to shrug off the spark of irritation that arose within her.

I don't know how Mother and Sister do this so easily, even if Sister still makes mistakes sometimes. Oh well. With that thought, she abandoned the slow, tip-toeing approach that she had initially attempted, in favor for a more straight-forward one. Oblivious as to how her sudden appearance may seem, a pale creature stepping out of the darkness, wrought of features uncommon in others that walked the land, she stepped forward to greeting the lightly painted stallion.

The glow of the mists and its firefly lights played over the silver scales that covered her back, glinting off withers and spine, playing over the silvery blaze that marked her face. The shadows of the half-light disguised the momentary trace of sadness that arose from the errant memory of the strange lingering coldness, which had nothing to do with the weather, that plagued the child. Her forward progress only halted when she deemed herself close enough that neither he nor she would have to speak up to be heard, yet far enough apart to be respectful. That was a concept she had decided to practice more often as she grew older and larger.

"Hello." It was a simple greeting, carried on a voice that was both light and melodic, each syllable inflected with nuances of tonality that surmounted a simple meet and greet between horses. Growing up talking to the creatures that represented a more exotic aspect of her heritage had more than a little impact upon the quality of her voice.
