Today, or tonight, was an opportunity we could not pass up. See, my dears, we needed to gain an alliance. We needed to have the prominent man power in order to invade and take over these Foothills that were so easily calling our names. And now, with this lovely piece of information against the Foothills - linking them to the Basin - we might have a chance at winning. It was not a time for games. It was not a time for the behavior that would have locked us up in this insane Asylum we had formed. It was time for respect. It was time to be deemed worthy. It was time to finally become something we had never been before - something one cannot push to the side.

We would not give up easily, and hopefully with this information in tow we would be able to gain an ally from the other two herds who we knew were fully capable of holding their own. You were always capable of getting an alliance. Schwere hissed, voice bouncing around my cranium. Well, thanks Schwere. Nice to know you believe I could get one. But, he was not there with this world that I was now in. It was not something that I could deal with. But you are built for this world. It is with the right emotions that you will be able to accomplish this. Do not be quick to anger, mein kleine." Innerste instructed, soprano chords drowning out the harsh tenors that were Schwere's.

Fine! I would allow some emotion in. I would allow myself to be nice, and not quick to anger. I wouldn't allow this opportunity to slide through my jowls. No. It was far too important. We were growing quickly. We needed an actual place to call home. We would not be squashed. But, we definitely would be aided by an alliance with these two long-standing herds. It didn't matter that I was a little burnt up, hair singed at the edges from the battle with that monster. No. Hopefully it would stand to make us appear like an actual force. Today was the day to begin our road toward victory...

So, with Eris at my side we began to edge toward the looming wall that signified the border of the Throat. We were careful, stopping a few feet from the wall and not going past the boundaries. "We mean no harm, we are here to see the leader of this gorgeous land in hopes of talking to her. I am Seele, and this is Eris and we are the leaders of the Asylum."

Now, all that was left was to wait and hope that we would get the chance to speak to the leader and attempt to gather an alliance.

This is open to anyone who would realistically be there. And all that I ask is that Eris posts before anyone else from the Throat does so that you can see her actions etc.

ERIS
Just give me a reason,
Just a little bit's enough,
Just a second we're not broken, just bent.
Fate what was it really? As Seele and Eris traveled down this path, was this their fate? Had some unknown greater power already decided that they would be walking down the dusty road to speak to a leader? Would they be getting the alliance, or had the fates decided that this was the best way to crush their hopes and dreams? Only time would tell.
That time was now.

A comfortable silence can fallen between the two blood sisters. As they crossed the lands their quick strides allowed them to pass a great distance in a short amount of time. Today's mission was looming over their moving forms, which Eris had been preparing herself for. Knowing that she would have to be on her best behaviour, Eris had allowed herself to slip into a calm and thoughtful personality. Everything was riding on this mission going well, the group's future, her dream and the way the rest of her life would shape up. Not only that, this leader demanded respect, Eris had heard the tales of the fearless battlemaster who never backed down from a challenge. Eris and Seele were coming near her lands, going near her people, they were the guests. Little Skysong had spoken to Eris of the Throat, they knew that it was ruled by a female.

Lost deep in thought it took her a moment to realise that Seele was slowing down. Blue orbs studied that land was interest, however she found herself captivated by the wall. How interesting! They were actually building a wall around their home for extra defence. What a very clever little plan, the golden dame continued to study it until her sister's voice rang out. Eris turned her head and looked upon the black and white doe. They had found each other in a marsh, learned of each others differences and had even gotten together to try and offer a home for others who were abnormally minded. Most would have laughed at the idea, but the numbers were strong, so many seeked a refuge and they offered it. To Eris it was more than that though. It was her first real family, the first time in her life where she was taken seriously as a leader.

Seele had summed up their purpose efficiently in one sentence and she spoke nothing but the truth. They came in peace, they did not want a fight or a confirmation. They simply wanted a few precious moments to try and discuss the future of their family. "Sweetly put sister." Eris had gathered one very interesting piece of information, from a rather...weak little filly from the Basin. Now it was just Eris and Seele hoping upon the stars that this leader would take them seriously.

We have visitors.

Hector glanced sharply downwards towards the wall from his position in the air, giant wings beating down and holding him there whilst he examined the two mares who had appeared by their borders. It was hard to see in the darkness, their forms barely more than outlines though he could make out than one was lighter in colour than the other and both had a rather feminine scent about them. Orange pools narrowed as he tried to recognize them and failed in doing so, but they were indeed polite enough to not try crossing into their land and Hector wondered what exactly they were up to. As the hybrid circled closer towards them, his concerned thoughts were answered by the darker femme of the two who raised her voice and gave reason to their presence. Titling themselves as Seele and Eris of the Asylum. Casting around, Hector looked for others who might be nearby from his herd before descending to the dusty floor with a thud. It was up to him to meet these two mysterious figures who sought an audience with his superiors.

He had landed just in front of the wall, blocking passage into the Throat land, but his stance was not a hostile one. Instead he approached them with a warriors caution, leonine tail slapping in the wind as Veci appeared unseen by his side. "What is it you want with the leaders of our land?" Trying to keep his normal booming vocals to a quieter tone, maw set into a thin line and his gaze never left them. Numerous questions already floating around in his mind, but he waited for them to answer, only speaking again to introduce himself.

"I am Hector, one of the Generals here." He still felt a thrill every time he said his title, the orange boy had been quite taken by surprise when Kri had rather casually promoted him. However, the hooves of Azzuen were large indeed to fill and he had a very long way to go before he became anything like the General he had been.

Veci had floated off to hover near Seele with his being consumed by wonder as he gazed at the glass spiral atop her head.

[ooc; since Boom & Tay are both on absent, I thought I’d step in for now. Let me know if this is not okay loves <3]

It's not hard to live like a ghost.
I just haunt all that I wanted, and leave what I don't.</style>

On days such as this one, Helovians such as Seele and Eris should count themselves magnificently lucky, that Hector come out the victor, in the spare between himself and Gaucho, last season. Were that not the case, in Kri and Sumati's absence, they might have instead found themselves nose to nose with Gaucho. I'm sure we can all imagine what a mess that would be.

See-el?

Ass-eye-lem?

So be very glad, ladies, that the orange giant is the one to greet you, and not Gaucho.

Even so, the barbarian is not far. He patrols the skies, faithful and dedicated to his pursuits as ever. Hector's movements below do not go unnoticed, and Gaucho turns in the air to watch as the younger stallion descends to greet the two newest arrivals. Want safety? Gaucho thinks of the two, mentally prodding Mara for confirmation. Sleepily, for the cold is an enemy of the cold-blooded, Mara's black gaze surveys below. SssSssssssS She returns; No. Mentally, the snake focuses on the lack of fear worn upon their brows, and their nourished bodies. If they were here for safety, they would be starving. Afraid. Grunting in agreement, Gaucho glided above where Hector had begun to converse with the two.

The bay did not descend however, instead he merely circled in the air space above, a healthy distance away. So far up as to not cause a noticeable disturbance and just far enough, that should he need to dive down to escort the two out, his momentum would be dangerous. He let loose a loud and formidable cry to Hector, identifying his presence to his superior (Thought surely heck-turr was already aware), and the unspoken understanding that Gaucho was there, should his aid be required.

Fate was a funny bitched that loved the share of information and the increase of stress—more so when it came to my life. She would laugh and whisper nasty things of the ongoings outside the ring of fire that protected my home; sometimes there was nothing I wanted more than to defend my land against the utterings of fools and their idiotic spawning. Yet, it was foolish for me to want quiet consolidation in this family.

A visitor had come to our boarder.

I was traveling back from the outer lands and noticed Hector and two strangers standing around the shallow unfinished dragon wall. Or at least, it was more honest to say that I noticed their outlines by moonlight and distant fire. As my frame flew closer it became easier to label the comrade that wore a dusty orange pelt. Tilting forward I began the starting of landing. Fina, who had been sleeping between my spine feathers, shook herself awake and hissed at the starlit sky in sleepy warning. Guacho’s heavy thumps shook the air, he flew above them and now us--protectively curious. “It’s just Guacho.” I reminded her, “Use your manners please.” She shrugged and start slowly shifting from a crouch into a stand, talons locking into my flesh to counter gravity as we fell toward earth.

My gold foredaggers touched a stone’s throw away from the group; so not to scatter dust in their faces. Fina beat her wings vainly in an attempt to maintain her seat—my hooves sunk into the soft sand muffled the weight of my landing. Turning back I trotted to them with the beginnings of a pleasant smile upon my face and a scowl upon Fina’s. She didn’t like company, and liked it even less when that company included strangers. “Well met brother, and to you both.” Cranium dips out of respect for our company and for the other General of our home. I was glad that Hector had been chosen to help lead our ranks.

WE WERE STRONG.
we stayed bright as lightning. we sang loud as thunder.
we moved ever forward.</style>

The sand greeted me warmly back home, yet I still felt a little uncertain after my talk with Mirage. The will of the Basin was growing every day, and in times like these, I had troubles feeling safe from their reach, even in the deep south. In my heart, the quiver of doubt in my beloved allies had been hushed by the Dragonheart's determination and love, yet not silenced.

I believed that my allies and kin were strong, but just how much could we resist?
I guessed I would find out.

My dark eyes catch and unusual gathering on my patrol, giving Gaucho a brief nod in the sky before circling below at the sight of my two generals and two unknown faces. I come to a gentle slow, stopping quietly in the sands with a puff of dust, snorting a exhale of crimson muck before trotting forward, falling in beside Midas. I give both a curt nod before listening in to their words, catching the late end of the conversation.

"If it is a leader you want, you have met her," I say, my voice breaking across the air easily. "Kri the Resolute, Commander of the Dragon Throat's warriors, ma'am." Pride filled my vocals, strong despite the worries in my gut.

"Why is it you travel so far south for my company?" Well, many choose to stay the hell away from me, so it is a fair question.

Sweetly put. I was all about making myself look more presentable. After all, my beauty had to come into play somewhere. And your beauty helps give you the grace that you need... Innerste informed her, asking her to take the grace that her physical movement possessed and place it into her words and actions. A gentle sigh escaped my maw as I peered at the sky, waiting to see who would come around and land before us.

It didn't take long at all. In fact, Schwere was buzzing in my head about wings beating as my audits twitched ever so delicately as I allowed my yellow orbs to attempt to focus on the form circling above us. The orange one landed at the entrance to the Throat, though I made no attempt to get any closer, and watched as he inched closer to us. His frame rippled with strength - a warrior probably - and his voice was loud, but filled with a demanding authority to it. He asked what it was that we wanted, and as I took a breath in to answer a shift in his chest allowed me to stop before I spoke over him.

Hector. A general. Not long after his name was given, was there another one of them circling the sky above us. And then, another landed and began to trot toward us again, a smile on his face. And then, a mare much closer to my size landed, falling in beside the painted one with the bird companion resting upon his back. And this one, it seemed, was the leader - Kri the Resolute. Pride and strength radiated off of her vocals before she asked about the same question that Hector had. Why were we here?

"Hector, sir, Madam Kri-" I started, shifting backward a little, my eyes hesitantly watching the semi-circle that seemed to be created by the presence of multiple pegasi. Remember. Manners. Manners go so far! Innerste reminded her as the only voice capable of breaking down the harsh exterior flooded into my cranium, You have a family now. Do what you can to try and ensure they get a home - play nice and fair and offer enough to make it a fair deal... A pause. Gentle breath in as I relaxed my muscles, finding no reason to believe that they would attack us - not yet anyways - before my soprano chords spiraled out into the air, much smoother than before. "We come to ask for an alliance. Eris, here, has information which she believes you might be interested in gaining, and I can offer the Asylum's aid in any matters that might be necessary - either to help you or an ally of yours. I understand, that you might not necessarily wish for an alliance with a band you might have never heard of, but given the chance we can prove to you that we might be worthy of you and your mastery of war..." Another pause as I took in a breath before glancing toward Eris, careful to make sure that my horn never edged into a threatening position, eyes flickering with the lightest gleams of hope - hope that we might, in fact, be able to gain a home sometime soon.

So sorry this took so long. I've been dealt a pretty crappy hand and muse is really scattered ._.
