Varath shot his brother a look as he didn't want his disrespect to earn them the boot out of the Edge when they just got there. "Well yeah, he looks like a leader; he's huge!" Varath hissed, stomping his hoof in an expression of his short temper. With a dark expression, he looked over the stallion. He was tall, white and peppered with black spots that would break up his figure against the snow. Varath absently mused that he would be difficult to find in a snowy forest.

The black colt listened to the stallion's deep voice and furrowed his brows in honest, innocent confusion at the mention of a white filly, but the black and red one? Like himself? His expression darkened to something akin to hatred fueled by embarrassment, and the babe's ears flattened against his skull to further punctuate his expression. "Ktulu..." he growled angrily. "One of our sisters. I have never heard that Ophelia was white, but I have never met her before." The colt saw no harm in telling him this, but suddenly he hoped that he said the right answer.

"Uuuhh.... They don't live here... do they?" he asked, wincing. When Mauja waxed philosophical, the young colt had a hard time keeping up with what he was saying. Unlike his pale sister, his mind was normal for a child his age. He was neither particularly special or particularly great or particularly bright. In the future, he would be particularly tall and perhaps strong, especially with his parentage. Still, the colt nodded. "I will be great!" he said proudly.
