Her steps had carried her through fog and over unstable ground, her mind in turmoil all the time. With every stumble her heart raced and ears flattened against her head. Her momentary panic made her feel insecure, weak even. When she was steady on her hooves her unknown past was taunting her. In the darkness of her skull there were flowing movements, each echo of a memory not one she could ever possibly understand. They were colours; streams of emotions portrayed in a different hue. Thin strings of neon that were caused by goodness knows what. There was a lack of light in her brown eyes too that seemed to match the skies above. Sure the moon was there but the absent of the golden orb that allowed there to be daytime was gone. It had faded away like her spirit was starting to. The Asylum was her home now but it wasn't enough for the grulla mare, not all the time at any rate. Often, Sonya would walk around the Wilds to try and clear her mind in the hope of finding some sort of answer, a bread crumb if you will, into the mysteriousness of her arrival here in Helovia. Her history was murkier than the fog she had just walked through to reach this meadow.

Sighing softly, she lowered her head so that she could taste the sweetness of the grass that grew here. Despite the lack of light it still grew well and was as delicious as it possibly could be. The sugars restored her depleted energy, and the grass filled the gap in her stomach satisfactorily. She was content, even though though she was not truly happy. She was as cheerful as she could be given the circumstances and thus to her she was content despite her body language portraying someone who was on edge. Her muscles were tensed beneath her coat, which was thinning significantly already due to the fact where she came from it has been summer. Having arrived in Helovia in winter her coat had barely the time to thicken before the season changed again. It may not be a clear change what with the land being cast in a state of night 24/7, but there was a warmth in the air nevertheless. The mare's eyes moved around the meadow frequently, ready to flee at the first sight of another presence.
