A story forever told, but never old
A warm arrival never left so cold </style>

[Phae is using her Chameleon magic, and this is set on the borders of the Basin. That being said, if your character has a legitimate reason to be here, or some how see her, please feel free :3

Timeline: Occurs after the Basin negotiation thread, and before Phaedra finds Tolio in the Foothills]

Where are you!

Had it been a year, since she had seen the red-maned? Time seemed a blur of events. It had been after the birth of her twins, and during the birth of Sielu (that was still very weird, to her mind). But the last time that Faelene and Phaedra had spoke, must have been just before the birth of Rae and Ru, in the Woods, was it? When Phaedra recanted that Tolio was the father of her twins. If that had buried the many hatchets that were between the two mares, they never had a chance to find out. Too much had happened since.

The birth's of their daughters, the Foothills/Grey War, the Tio threat, the tentative contract with the Basin, Ophelia leaving...

Where are you!?.

The red-maned had always just popped up, so where was she now? She knew that Faelene held the same chameleon magic as she did - could they somehow sense each other? Or perhaps since she was so close to the Basin's border, the magic would waver? Every now and then, Phaedra would momentarily drop her barrier, and the sparkle of her body would momentarily become visible. She hoped that if anything, this would attract prying eyes, and once her cover was back up, she would be able to tell if it was the horned mare she was after. With her luck, she would run into Psyche. Although maybe that would be for the best. Perhaps the golden spy would have better luck dealing with the Empress herself, with regards to the contract with the Basin.

Phaedra shivered, despite the fact that Birdsong had arrived. Without the arrival of the sun, one could hardly tell, especially in the Basin. She had been here long enough already, having ventured here earlier this week with Rafe to discuss the contract between the Grey and the Basin. How can they live here? She wondered idly as she silently slipped through the snow, sea-green gaze wide as she tried to force her way through the dark, willing the dark mare to appear.

FAELENE

we are all made of blood and tears, me just more so than others

The moon, and the stars had made their returns. Cutting up pieces of the dark fabric that enveloped them. This was likely suppose to mean something, but it didn't much to her. It was just like the day she'd been able to make a rock move, watching it shoot toward her with no purpose. Magic was returning, but it was not controllable as it was before. While she had the faintest bit of pleasure, of hope. A part of her questioned if this was how it would remain should the Gods failed. Or worse if only a few of them returned. How more out of balance would this place be?

Walking along the arms of the familiar evergreens, Faelene didn't dare use magic, afraid of its side effects. The next time it could possibly trap her in a bubble, or hurt someone she cared about. She remained exposed, acting as if she never possessed it. The red maned was on the look out for those who may in time come looking for their taken leader. Who might come to fight for her freedom, or start another battle. It would be strange who she should spy in a glint of sparkling light among their borders before seeming to be swallowed by the grey landscape itself.

Phaedra. Why was she here again? Faelene was sure they had settled their contract, so what did she want now? Much as she wanted to disappear, sneak up upon the spotted one who made her head hurt often. Again, she wouldn't risk it. Quietly, she walked through the remaining snow as if she had not spied the Pegasus. Soon enough Faelene was sure she would reveal herself, cutting out the rest of her work. Hopefully given her some clue to what she wanted.
