When I tried to understand this, I was looking for a character who was out of control of the situation, or someone being pushed around. Even when I see the explanation of changing and adapting, I do not see that as a tumbleweed - which only goes where the wind takes it. It doesn't really change or adapt.

Tendrils of what? And how is this eternal? And what struggle? In everything that I have read about Faelene, she is not really struggling with herself in a way that this makes me think. Also, I cannot really pin this as a unique clue to Faelene since most characters have some sort of internal struggle. I cannot name one character on this site that isn't facing something challenging within themselves. However, it does aptly fit the profile.

This would have been a +1 if not for the tall... I understand the dark coat reference, even though it's applying to the mountains and rocks of the basin, not the character by way of phrasing. However, Faelene is not what I would consider tall, so I would think this was misleading.

What's the flower? I realise that the thorn is a horn, and I understood that, but what about the flower? The flower is misleading to me because it made me think rather than just one horn reference, maybe a situation where there was innocence involved with this unicorn. Also, would have been a +1 if I had seen some sort of explanation for the flower.

But combining it with the tumbleweed, I think it just pulls this clue too far away from the original meaning. That being said, tumbleweeds do not change or adapt, so I fail to see how pointing out that they're in motion, relates.

In the end the Unicorn king says she is not the one they are looking for to stop the violence - so even your description I think is off, since I don't really read her as having an "unwanted existence", but more of heralded birth.
