The full moons cast silver light over the meadow. Outlining each green leaf and violet petal in its soft hues as the night embraced the land like a caring mother. Quiet clouds crept in like nervous gray cats, shedding sorrowful tears as they mourned the loss of their warm sun, of which the moon tenderly infused with her ethereal beauty until the each drop reflected and refracted her elegant light. Appearing to all the world as if the sky were dropping delicate diamonds to the earth where they would settle upon the sleeping thistles.

In the quiet of the spring shower the magic of moon, earth, and water created a mystic vision that fills the dreams of young and fanciful equine. With each quiet patter more diamonds coated the plant life until the world sparkled in the moonlight. Tiny beads dotted the rusty dappled coat of the Pegasus like spherical crystals, adorning its mane and tail in beaded fashion, quivering with each slow step. With a shake of his wings the stallion dislodged the water droplets from his feathers, sending them cascading to the earth where they joined their brethren among the flowers.

Mist puffed from flaring nostrils and steam rose off of his body in lazy wisps as the proud beast made its way through the land, providing the final peace to this evening of fantasia. Elegant and strong the creature although devoid of magical power glowed with the natural strength of an equine blessed with strong bloodlines. Well toned muscles strapped powerful legs, carefully lifting each granite hoof above the grass and thistle as the stallion made its way deeper into the meadow. Deep brown pools stared out over the land, drinking in the pristine beauty as his lungs drew in a deep breath of the crisp fresh air.

The world was still not set right, and although the moon now shone brightly and the plant life had begun to come back to life, the world was still devoid of a sun. Stopping the Pegasus snorted quietly, his tail swishing back and forth flicking water from each strand while simultaneously catching even more as they fell from the sky. Even so the stallion did not let such pressing matters dampen his enjoyment of this picturesque vision that stretched out before him. Until the moon had vanished, which it had not done so for the course of what he assumed was many days, announcing the start of another dark day he would be content to spend his evening among the thistle and rain.

The night could be a beautiful lady with a robe of silky white that reflected the burning fire of hundreds of stars. Each speck of light dotting the moral of God had a name and purpose, though some would never give such a glorious sight to divine credit. They would toss up a crazy theory based off what could be seen from a rather limited perspective and fail to address what lurked behind the curtain; if one would simply let go of what their mind so declared they could see things for what they truly are. How could there be not an artist to stake claim to the canvas of night did the painter not labor hours on end on his master piece? Of course there was and his name was God; now it is the duty of an upright individual to respect the opinions, so had been the motto for a horned horse colored white and chestnut by the very same artist of the mural that popped up every evening entitled “stars of the night”. This animal so belong to equine species subgroup known as unicorns and he didn’t see a difference in his soul from that of any other. Each had been stained very well by the world; so much so, the creator had to press it repeatedly to cleanse it. With that being said the stallion was no exception to say principle therefore mentioned.

The rain lightly fell from the sky dancing down elegantly to land on Castiel’s broad fields of white and rich monogyny. Once the drops landed on his body like little soldiers they quickly moved down his sides leaving streaks in their paths. The feeling of their tiny little feet on his skin made him tickle in certain spots he was rather ticklish, but that wasn’t something to go tell anyone. Walking into the beautiful twilight meadow the stallion saw his favorite lavender flowers and smiled fondly over them like they were his children. Seeing them so restored had been relieving and he wondered why they rebounded so well lacking sun. Resisting rolling them into his fur he just sniffed them as they kissed his muzzle back and played with them. A habit his dam got him into so did his sire to surprisingly that rough stud had a weak spot for his son. After awhile he looked up to scan his environment and saw the shadow of another sticking to the ground. Being in a good mood the horn horse approached the other one in the dark his scent reached his nostril it was another stallion. “ Hello there” the stallion of a painted nature addressed the other with a warm gentle voice “ what brings you out here on a beautiful night such as this”

The stallion tugged his head when he sensed another presence, cocking it as his ears swiveled to catch the sound of a new beat that had entered the song of the rain. Deeper and more prominent then that of the sound of the rain falling against his hide, like that of a steady drum leading solders in their march, counting out each beat as it slowly grew closer. The beat of hooves against solid ground acted like an accompanying base to the lighter tones of the rain.

Apache listened to the sound with muted curiosity, his feeling s about this approaching creature were mixed. On one hand he welcomed another to join him and share in this natural beauty, while on the other he wished to be alone to savor this moment in silence. Ears turning back to listen to the stallion Apache resigned himself to having company. What was to be done, it was not like he had any right to ask the fellow to leave.

This land was not his and he had to right to hog the beauty for himself. Might as well make the best of it and be friendly toward the stallion instead, it would be rude not to after the paint had already made an attempt to be civil. With that little dilemma solved he turned to face the stranger, offering a friendly nod of greeting.

"It could very well be a beautiful day, fore the moon remains in the sky at all hours, watching over the world in the sun's absence." He replied, "But that is not what you asked is it. I was merely wandering when I stumbled across this meadow and was struck by the beauty of the way the moon plays upon the droplets of water as they tumble from the heavens."

He smiled, casting a glance up toward the moon as she smiled down upon them, before returning his gaze to the unicorn. "Apache Renoen." he offered with a titled nod of his head. "Tell me stranger, what brings you here on this fanciful day, or evening?" Settling most of his weight on his right side he lowered his head cocking it to allow himself to still view the unicorn as he stretched the muzzles in his neck and shoulders.
