Sage</style>
a champagne supernova in the sky.</style>
Rising with the dawn, the picturesque beauty racing in the clouds above, her heart alive. The gleam of golden sunlight beaming from the ivory of her primaries, shimmering against every fiber of the perfectly gilded coat. Wind whisper riddles into your ears, teasing with your hair, gently embracing the creatures of the sky.

Against the canvas of pale pinks and oranges, the sun rises to life along with one of the world's most gorgeous creatures - Sage.
A pity that currently her mind is elsewhere.

Surrounded by the beauty of morning's first smile, the protector of the World's Edge appears dark and dreary, despite being lit with the ethereal light of the rising sun. The recent invasion of her home set her teeth on edge, caused her jaw to tense, caused wrinkles to form under her eyes in disdain. Truly, what had the unicorns of the North been thinking? Were the gilded dragons of the World's Edge not intimidating enough? Did they just have to test their patience, thinking foolishly a band of mercenaries would see them to victory?

The mare scoffed to herself in the morning light, the scent of saline filling her nostrils and trying to sooth her heart. The warrior is offended, but not on part of herself. Truth be told, our beauty cares little for herself being challenged; instead, it is the thought that another would question the reign of Mirage that made her so terribly annoyed. Recalling when Lace had backhandedly asked if she would disobey Mirage's absolute orders to keep away from the Basin, Sage is reminded that not everyone has the same loyalty to the shadow mare as herself. This, of course, is a complete insult.

A heart and a spirit as strong as her own would never bow to a queen who is unfit to hold the crown of the world, let alone just its Edge.
Idiots, fools, and bastard children she wishes could be scraped from this earth already.
It's not that she was violent or wanted them dead... but, well, she wanted their presence in her life to cease. Stay north in their cold kingdom; never come south. Not unless they wanted a swift kick in the ass again, anyway.

Rolling her perfectly teal eyes to herself, the beauty finds herself spilled out above miles of crystalline blue waves. Pausing her forward movement, the angel of gold and white hovers to greet the dawn with a fierce expression. The tang of salt, the peel of golden light breaking on every crest of cerulean. The world is beautiful, she knows. The sunset should never be welcomed with angsty thoughts of lesser hearts. Instead, hovering easily below the clouds, head tilted every so slightly away from the direct gaze of the sun, she takes a breath.

Remember to breathe in your surroundings, to live your life. Live it well. After all, there is only one.
"Good morning."

The stallion embraced his freedom with open wings, in both the literal and figurative sense. After so long running from his problems, it felt refreshing to be able to at last be able to enjoy the world and not fear it, with the sun once again blooming in the sky each morn, it's iridescent iris opening sleeping and brushing the sands of time from its face, the golden boy felt an old sense of joy awaken in his heart. Trough the fear and darkness he had clung to his brother, the perfect reflection of himself, and refused to let go for even an instant, yet here he was now; alone, yet carefree.

He knew Tess (for that was the unfortunate nickname bestowed upon his 'little brother') would be safe within the boundaries of his new home in the sands of Dragons Throat, so for the first time in what felt like centuries, but in reality was a single drawn out year, he was able to go where he wanted without constantly turning back to ensure his reflection was still there, still breathing, and still safe.

His wings beat as dawn broke and as he flew toward the sun he watched with squinted orbs as the sun cracked and broke over the horizon. Slowly the navy canvas was painted with pinks and orange hues, the colours dancing in the skies, smeared only by a flurry of pale white as the occasional cloud drifted lazily by. The wind sailed through his hair, billowing his long platinum crest out behind him like the white hot blaze of a comet. His docked tail fluttered with glee as his deer like legs tucked gracefully up toward his chest. Silver, cloven hooves glinted like diamond as a spark of sunlight hit the perfect sheen and bi-coloured eyes; one deep chocolate, the other azure; shone with ecstasy.

It was like a drug, the feeling of flight; addictive and awe-inspiring, cathartic and adrenaline pumping. One wrong move and you fell to a death you did not expect, though Felix had never met anyone foolish enough to fall out of the sky (the thought never occurred to him that those so called fools were all dead). He whinnied, golden pelt heated by the sun as he angled his wings downward toward the great cerulean ocean, it's glistening waves beckoning him. As he descended, he twisted wings upward as that he flew perpendicular to the waves, one slender leg extending so that his hoof tip glided through the water. Each wind beat brought his primaries nearly touching the water and he felt the cool, salty droplets spray his chest and ankles. He could taste the sea foam and he inhaled deeply, enjoying the scent.

Wings beat faster now, taking him back higher away from the waves and as he did, his topaz eye caught sight of gold. It was smaller than the sun and as he turned he was at first mistaken, thinking his brother had joined him. He ascended quickly, grin spreading wide over his face as he realized that the figure lacked the teal ring upon its face, nor was her mane cropped short as his brothers was. No, this was a mare, and a beauty at that (he was a bit bias, finding the golden plumage of his family the most attractive coloration). He whinnied once more, not realising that the mare was deep in thought. He was know known for his ability to empathise with strangers. He was far too overjoyed with the world to consider its impurities. "'Lo friend! A fine morning, is it not?!" He called out, beating his wings in the with the mare, throwing back the golden waterfall of hair that stroked his shoulders.
