Jacob or Jake is the result of the union of a Caspian Horse and a Welsh Pony making him a hybrid. He used to be made out of chocolate, which is what his main base color, bay tobiano tasted like. The nature of his pattern allows him to have a bit of white on his body, which used to taste like white chocolate. The first marking is on his face in the form of a white stripe. It is on the bridge of his nose where it stretches from his horn to his nose. His nose itself is pink. It used to taste like strawberry chocolate. Around his mouth he has a dark brown point, which once tasted like dark chocolate. The next marking has chosen to paint one of his legs, which is his right foreleg. The leg is entirely white alongside his hoof. On the same side his right shoulder is painted the same color. These take the patterns of white stripes. The white leg and stripes are connected as the stripes reach down and become one to form his white leg and hoof. There is another leg that has a bit of white on them, but it does not cover the entire leg. On his left hind leg close to his hoof there is a small patch. On the same leg there is a single white spot on his inner thigh. The rest of his legs including the left hind leg have a dark brown coating to it, which tasted like dark chocolate at one point. The hooves on these legs are a bit lighter, but still consider dark. They also carried the flavor of dark chocolate at some point. Moving onto his horn the white and brown swirls are similar to seashell chocolates. They even taste like how one would typically taste. His mane and tail is mostly black, but he does have highlights of light brown. These light brown highlights usually show up towards the ends and they used to taste like milk chocolate. The black areas on his mane used to taste like dark chocolate. His eyes are a green and they were the oddest. Back when he was a chocolate pony they were mixture of chocolate flavors, but it was hard to tell which ones. It is basically the mystery flavor of his body, but now it is just a regular eye. No one knows this not even Jake as no one has attempted to lick his eyes... yet.
Jacob can sometimes be the embodiment of laziness. Jacob is the type that prefers not to be bombard with work. He enjoys being able to sleep or just ponder in his thoughts. As such he is rather indifferent to things like boredom as he is rather simple and easy to make content. Jacob is willing to take shortcuts and a procrastinator. He just doesn’t get that sense of urgency therefore he can put off things until the last minute. There are times where he is so distracted with other things he just forgets about them. To prevent any sense of guilt or concern about his tasks he is capable of making excuses and justifying them. They do not have to make sense as his goal is just to get out of something. There are times where he won’t beat around the bush and straight up tell you he doesn’t want to do that. Jacob is the type that can become excited about projects and goals for a while, but once his motivation is gone drops it completely. He may or may not resume it. In short Jacob does not have the ambition or drive to become something great. In fact when horses recognize the qualities that Jacob has and offer him more work it can irritate him as he would rather sit and look at the clouds. Despite the fact he is lazy it isn’t impossible to make him do his share. Jacob naturally tends to work harder if he realizes that it will benefit those he cares about or if he is place in situations where it is life and death such as finding food to survive. It does help if this is something he truly is passionate about. Horses can convince him to work as well, but he might fuss along the way. Once that is completed he tends to be quick about going back to his sluggish state.
As much as Jacob believes he is average and nothing special, the stallion is quite intelligent. The stallion is capable of thinking outside the box and if he needs to adapt quickly to a situation. In combat with enough training he has the potential to become a great strategist. A lot of this stems from his natural level-headedness. First of all he does not freak as easily in situations when he first encounters them. He likes to approach it with care and attempting to resolve whatever the issue may be. He prefers to look at reality and common sense and past experiences can play a role in his decision making. He doesn’t allow his emotions to blind him so easily otherwise he would just freak and be overdramatic. He tries to take all things into account, but personally prefers not to be the one to make the final decision. A lot of this has to do with his natural moral compass as he does not want to make a poor decision that would harm those he loves. The second part is the fact that he can be insecure if he feels that there is so much more he needs to account for. There is another factor to take into consideration when speaking of his intelligence and that is the fact he is a thinker at heart. While he does not consider himself a philosopher this is how he expresses himself. He doesn’t have much of a problem sharing his thoughts whether good or bad. He enjoys pondering and questioning the world around him. There are times where his negative thoughts win him over and this leads to him brooding. If he is depressed, concern, annoyed, or angry these emotions can trigger them to. Those that point this out to him however will find that he is honestly confused as to why you believe he is having a pity party. As far as he is concern he is just expressing himself through words and thoughts.
Jacob tends to rather quiet and shy. He just never felt the need to be talkive or outgoing like some of his counterparts. He enjoys having his peace and quiet and prefers to observe the scenes around him. Do not mistake him for being antisocial. He is more than willing to talk to someone if someone approaches him or if he is in the mood for it. It is just that Jacob just doesn’t always have a lot to talk about and can sometimes feel like he is rather boring and awkward because of it. Around newer horses it is better to approach him as he will keep to himself. Usually if he does approach strangers there is something about them that he deems relatable enough to speak first. His shyness can also lead to him being rather distant when it comes to expressing himself through things like entertaining others. Despite his quietness it does have its advantages. He tends to make a great listener and pays close attention to details thanks to his observant nature. This allows him to be more sympathetic and do his best to comfort those around him. Naturally he is more self-aware of his thoughts even if they are destructive and makes him stop and reflect. Thanks to this it can help him deem if it is worth stating as he would rather avoid conflict. He can pick up on the moods and other little details and truly help someone with his insight. If Jacob simply had enough motivation and confidence he has the potential to make a great leader.
As much as Jacob believes he is a coward he has shown to display a strong moral compass. He is not one that judges others and this allows him to get closer to others. His protective nature especially towards his twin allows him to be able to show self sacrifice and do what he needs to protect those he loves. He is willing to take roles he normally doesn’t such as being the aggressor if it means that he can protect someone. When it comes to himself his protectiveness seems to serve another role: privacy. He is rather pessimistic about relationships including with his own family at times and does not get his hopes up easily. As such he is guarded and keeps his turmoil to himself. For Jacob he truly needs to know you are by his side even if he pushes you away with his distantness. Another note if you want to make Jacob comfortable with you: DO NOT GET INTO HIS NO ZONE. Jacob cannot stand the feeling of being touch. The only thing he is going to associate touching with is you trying to turn him into a snack or licking him to death. It does not matter if you simply poke him if you touch him prepare for him to freak out. It is best to stay away because he usually ends up panicking and you might get hit in the face by accident. This goes double when it comes to his twin brother and eventually others like him. Whether Johnny likes it or not if he feels that his brother’s life is being threatened he has no problems dragging his brother far away from you. In the meantime he will also be giving him a mouthful about candy safety. No matter how dramatic he might seem to him it is the difference between life and death.

Jacob’s story begins through his parents. His mother, Viola and his father, Sebastian were two unicorns that were former mates. It is unclear what cause the two to separate, but there was a lot of drama between the two. During the early stages of his mother’s pregnancy she managed to tick off a witch. As a result the witch cursed them. Now from first results it seems nothing had happen. It was possible that Viola may have thought she was in the clear until her foals arrived. In the season of Frostfall, Jacob was born alongside Johnny making them twins, but aside from the fact these horses were lucky enough to be siblings there was something off about them. Much to Viola’s surprise she figure out that the curse was turning her children into edible delights. It seems that this witch had a funny bone to her and didn’t seem like the type that involve dark curses such as death or thousands years of pain. Either way now she had to deal with raising treats. Oddly enough these delightful horses’ bodies seem to match well with their personalities.
Johnny was made out of sugar and had a few touches of peppermint. He was naturally the light-hearted and fun individual. Jacob on the other hand was made out of chocolate. He didn’t stay as one flavor, but had different types of chocolate such as white chocolate and dark chocolate. For Jacob (Jake as his brother calls him) he didn’t understand how different they were. As far as he was concern all horses had their bodies made out of some sort of treat. The one thing he will say is that he felt that their lives were hectic. For one having to keep your body from feeling like it was melting in the hot sun was a chore. Of course he never fully melted, but he learned to love the cold weather rather quickly. It also didn’t help that some would try to pester the twins curious to know more about them. For the most part they seem to push through, but even the twins had a breaking point.
One day Johnny woke up having his leg gnaw on by someone. After Johnny told them they were getting out they were quick to leave. They were yearlings around this time and as Jacob grew older it realized not everything was as peaceful and normal as he once thought. Being one hand higher than Johnny Jacob found himself babysitting the sugar horse a lot. He took on the role of being their protector and provider. These roles made him continue to look at the world differently than his carefree brother and as such he would express through his thoughts. Eventually Johnny grew tired of his brother’s brooding and decided to leave him. He was in a middle of one of his brooding sessions when this happen and the horse found himself looking for him. When he couldn’t find him Jacob grew fearful that his brother was killed having no idea that the twin was lost and found himself into Helovia.
As time grew on Jacob found himself questing and becoming distant. He would only interact with others if he felt they may have answers to where his brother is. Most of them had no idea what he was talking about and were more interested in wondering what he taste like. Eventually he managed to gain information from a group of horses stating that they saw a horse that had a strange smell to him. They also noted the bright red mane he carried. This path has led him to Helovia where he is determined to find him. Little does he know Helovia has other plans for him including the lost of what truly define him.
