PERSONALITY

Veryan is a bit of an outcast, it's what he is used to. As a result, his personality ranges on the side of darkness, that isn't to say he can't conform, he just hasn't. He's quirky, snappy and has an answer for pretty much anything. He enjoys the mental stimulation a conversation can provide, therefore he will share company with others. He's the good kid, with the bad attitude. A diamond in the rough, shall we say.

HISTORY

It's difficult to write a tale, that really has no real beginning...

Veryan was born amidst chaos; a herd of brawn over brains, replicated in their offspring. Squabbles, tirades of demands, bitterness- a harsh breaking to the beautiful word.

Veryan's mother was different though. She was favoured by his father- the leader of the herd, which explains his name. Hero- it provided him with a rank and for that she was grateful. Veryan's mother, Vanya, tried her best to shelter him from the world in which they lived, however it was a thankless task. He faced challenge after challenge, to become tougher, to become like his father.

His father was regal. His aura was that of complete control, a dictatorship. No one challenged him, nor would anyone ever had dared. Truth be told, he despised Veryan, as the boy grew and he grew older, he became terrified of the runt, the weakling, being his predecessor.

Veryan grew stronger, the scars of his upbringing more mental that physical, though he developed a thickened skin. His mother remained his only comfort. On her, he depended. He adored her. Despite the lack of intelligence in the rest of the meek followers, an intelligence blossomed within him. It allowed him to plan, to appear a mindless fool, and yet a facade was all it was.

Vanya died. It was sudden. The circumstances suspicious. Veryan had led a herd away for the night, to inspect the vast lands that lay beyond their border; he came back to his father's smirk and insincere condolences. A rage boiled within Veryan, a world that had original held only a meager of colour, now was painted black.

The events of that night go unexplained. All that we know, is Veryan walked free. He slunk into the shadows, crimson streaked his immaculate coat, like a smattering of paint. The early morning mist creating an almost ethereal creature emerging from the smoke.

He set off for new lands, new pasture, a new start. And, here we are.
