Melodic echoes filled his skull, a faes gentle voice whispering into sleepy ears. Tilneys wide eyes tried in vain to search for the source of the call until splashes of coal and white crowded his sight. Focussing his spinning vision, he could decipher the face of a painted stranger looking worriedly into his eyes. "hmmm?" he murmured, lashes fluttering over glazing eyes. Rolling further onto his spine, both front feet dangling over his ribs while his hind pair hung from their hocks, gingery eyelids closed over his verdant eyes. Vivid visions began to play under his eyelids and his brow firmed; usually his dreams were not enjoyable. Opening his eyes however, the dream hardly left him.

A hallucination began; the painted mare who stood above him was no longer there. His father had replaced her, his angry violet eyes crooning down on tilneys frighten orbs of green. Tipping his red bodice over Tilney scrambled to his feet; wobbly and dizzy as he was he stumbled many times through the plants on his way to a steady stance. " A powerful, adrenalized snort escaped his splashed nostrils, fiercely eyeing the ghostly figure of his sire that had taken the melodic does place."...father!? he whimpered. "s-stay away from me!" Stumbling backwards through shrubs and vines he searched for an escape route but he only saw ancient walls of his homeland, covered in grape vines and lillies. He was trapped in this beautiful terrace with no where to run.

Being as tenderhearted as he is, Tilney had no enemies except for his poor excuse of a sire. Captain, the black and white painted giant from his past. This stallion was the reason for so much of tilneys suffering. Of course it was Captain, his own father, who had thrown him as a yearling from the heights of a rocky cliff. Tilney was too weak to carry on such a royal, infamous family name. From Captains perspective, Tilney and his disinterest in violence and conquering risked the reputation of the entire family. He had to be dealt with.

"Its not real Tilney!"

It was his sister Carlisles voice. FINALLY, had she made it to the edge? Sweeping away in a gust of wind, the hallucination was pulled from the atmosphere around him and he was left with a clear view of the worried coal and ivory doe, but there was no sight of his sister. Watching the faes golden horn and radiant cool eyes, he finally whispered "what is happening?".
