THE blood knight had just finished getting his base of operations all in order and today was his first time gallivanting through the lands he now owned. No, was a guest in. He was fairly certain he'd smelled the scents of another group of horses just as his lovely guide had begun their trek to his temporary home. So, logically, this was the first area he'd explore in his quest for knowledge. The day had been long but relatively fruitful. He'd seen a few horses off in the distance, found a few trails, and cemented the pathway between the Threshold and his home into his mind.

But, it was when he began trying to find where that suspected other herdland was that he'd gotten lost under the setting sun. It wasn't anything that a little early sunlight wouldn't fix but it did mean that he'd need to bed down for the evening. There wasn't too much covering up in this odd spot but the place was nicely foggy and there were a few clusters of bushes. If he weren't as tired as he was he'd even consider having a little bit of fun with some prey. But, alas, he was not immune to the need for slumber.

Thus, the devil busied himself about the work of finding a makeshift nest for the night. It was his perfect luck that the entrance housed one of the few trees in the area...in addition to a lovely bush patch. He could sleep standing up behind it, avoid detection, and still spot any who entered or exited the area. This also had the extra advantage of no one being able to spot unusual hoof prints unlike if he'd chosen a spot towards the back of the land. It was perfect, really, and Calstron was immensely happy with how his first bit of time here in this place was going. Really, he rather liked it. Perhaps, if the Bitch were here he wouldn't kill her outright but toy with her instead....if only for the excuse to stay in this place longer.
