 Vadim hello teacher tell me whats my lesson look right through me look right through me There was no real reason for Vadim and Vlasi to be in the Threshold - they didn't have a herd to invite anyone to and he really wasn't that interested in welcoming newcomers. And yet, there they were, him walking stoicly through the trees while Vlasi bounded ahead of him with boundless energy and exuberance. They were the perfect pair, the two of them, balancing one another out perfectly. He was calm and often seemed emotionless while Vlasi wore her heart and feelings on her sleeve. Together they formed one normally functioning being. When they were apart neither of them knew how to exist. Vlasi's excitement was palpable, even without their melded spirits and mind Vadim thought that he would be able to feel it. She ran ahead of him, tail wagging and tongues lolling out of the three mouths. She would pause, sniff at something, bark, and then she'd be running again, but she would circle around and run up behind Vadim and pull on his tail as she ran past. Vadim accepted the tail pulling with only a minor twinge of annoyance because, if he was honest, there were far more annoying (and disgusting) things that Vlasi had done to him in the time that they'd been bonded. The rougarou plowed ahead through the foliage and Vadim continued his slower trek behind her, unwilling to be rushed to do nothing by his companions antics. "Don't get too far ahead." he said through their shared mental connection, but he might as well have been talking to the trees around him. Vlasi's barking grew fainter and more distant until he didn't hear it at all anymore. '!!!!!!!!!' The sudden surge of excitement he felt from Vlasi wasn't uncommon, but it wasn't usually so strong that it made him flinch. The last time that had happened was when they had found Erthe in the Grove. "What did you find?" He asked, but only got a '!!!!!!!!' in response from the shapeshifter. "Vlasi?" He called out, suddenly apprehensive. 'YATI!' Her voice was a high pitched squeal that made his ears fall back against his head and his mouth pull down into a frown. 'YATI! YATI BACK!' ...Yati? .....Nayati? That was enough to make him move faster. He tore through the brush, heedless of the branches that slapped at his face and neck as he went. And then he found her. He stumbled ungracefully to a stop, his hair strewn and tangled and his eyes wide and disbelieving that she was actually there. "...Nayati." He breathed her name, barely a whisper as if he were scared that a single breath would prove that she weren't real and make her wisp away like smoke. While he stood there, shocked, Vlasi danced before the mare on her two hind legs, eager to be greeted. "." ooc:// vlasi is in her cerberus form :) |
