Gaucho listened as more, and more came. A felt a dwindling sense of anxiety in his chest, and was glad for that. So they had come - that was good. Very good. He wasn't entirely sure how long his magic would last out there - even though Mara had kept biting his ear to ensure that enough blood would flow to allow for his magic, it was entirely likely that it was some how 'used up'. Internally, he grumbled at himself for never having had the forethought to test the durability of his magic over long periods of time.

As concerns over those missing, or lost began to filter through the chitchat, Gaucho locked his jaw. This - this cacophony of voices calling out, offering help, or feeling afraid, would not do. It would not be efficient, nor would it be strategic. The last thing that they needed, was having those who had finally found safety, rush off into the darkness only to be consumed by infection without anyone knowing.

They were lost, and afraid, and under attack - he was not surprised, but he would not stand for it.

"Brothers and sisters. This infection, is like invasion. It comes against us, but we not let it! Any who want to help - to find others or to fight, follow Gaucho. We not talk here - wraiths might hear above. We go deeper. We talk about strategy, and how to fight, and how to bring the missing home.

We stay together, or we die alone."
