Congratulations to Oxy and Hotaru!

Some offered bizarre answers the the Goddess didn't even acknowledge: birdlady was one of these. The rest were largely unimpressive and cliche: Curiosity? Answers? Purpose? Protection? Power? Magic? No shit. Their answers were uninformative - of course they wanted power, or magic. Purpose? Ha. It wasn't her job to give purpose to those who dwelt in her Brother's land. If they wanted that, they could come live upon her cliffs.

Two answers however struck her as ... interesting.

domination and intoxication. How fascinatingly specific. Hotaru did not just want power or magic. She wanted to dominate. It was a worthy goal, at least in the Goddess' mind. The other, the big oaf, sought intoxication eh? Did his boring life in the Falls not sufficiently numb his mind under the leadership of the golden idiot and the ghost? Well, she was certain she could aid with that.

A brisk wind suddenly picked up, and appeared to blow the remaining light away, leaving herself, Hotaru and Oxy spotlighted in the crowd. The Goddess first cast her icy gaze upon the mare, smiling sweetly.

"Everything is not as it appears child of none. What campaign is it you think my herd works to achieve that I do not know about? What purpose do they strive towards that is outside the reign of my influence?" Her words were short, condescending, but delicate. Unlike her Brothers, she always played a role in what happened within the fog and on the cliffs of her land. If Hotaru was too shortsighted to notice that, then perhaps domination was out of her reach ... but perhaps not. "I hear your word, and know your mind Hotaru. You have had meager successes thus far but .. You have much to learn." The Goddess paused, thinking of what way the girl could best demonstrate that her success in life hadn't merely been a serious of happenstances where she came out on top. Her trinkets didn't prove that she was skilled, only that she was better than those whom she stole from. "In order to dominate, you must be willing to do whatever it is you must to succeed. You must be able to answer the hard questions, and do things that others would balk at." Suddenly her voice bloomed in Hotaru's mind: these final words meant only for the unicorn to hear. "There have been ... bodies that have appeared. My Brother has offered a reward if any can find the murderer. From each body that appears, you must take a trophy; the eyes of the dead, their accessories.... Something to remember them by..."

Turning away from the pinkish girl, the Goddess' gaze fell upon the Addict. Her pale lips twisted into a smirk, as her eyes roamed over his scarred body.
"Now for you." She purred, ears flicking backwards slightly. " Why always stoned? Stop running and deal with your demons." Oh she saw the intoxicants in his mind alright - but he would have to chose between them. The drugs, or the girl. Immense pain would accompany sober time spent with the frosty mare, but to numb his pain, he would wash her away entirely. Where did his true desire lay?

Hotaru must take something from each body that is revealed as part of the Murder Mystery!

When Oxy is sober, he will be in immense pain the longer he remains so (he will feel as though his skin is being pulled from his bones, and that he is burning from the inside out, although physically there will be no signs of this -- as well as the normal symptoms of withdrawal). However if he uses drugs or his magic, he will be plagued by hallucinations indiscernible from real events OR he will be unable to communicate (so his words will be garbled, or perhaps he'll just be unable to make sounds, etc). This will occur for the next 5 simultaneous threads.

Zunden - Your first denial does not count as you failed to continue posting in the drop, therefore you were not considered in the final roll meaning it does not count as a previous denial. In your second denial you asked for both magic and a companion. Given the rules on drops, only the first response was considered (the magic) because you cannot ask for more than one thing. Therefore, Zunden has no previous refusals of this type to use.

Torleik: Both of your refusals were for magic and so cannot count when questing for an item, therefore you have no previous refusals to use.
