The cold was beginning to creep into the fiber of everything. It radiated within her bones, creaking under the weight of stress. Even though she should be comfortable and happy, the fact that her family was gone still ripped a hole into her heart. A piece of her had gone missing with them, and she was never going to get that back. So the pair would have to do with what they had; Edgar had Elsa, and vice versa. The past couple of months had forced them to bond beyond their imagination. What was initially a friendship on the surface, had delved into the realm of unimaginable feelings. Both were no directly influenced by the other, even so much as a simple scratch was translated between the both of them. She wouldn't wish this fate upon her worst enemies, Basin and all.

And like glue, they stuck together. Today was an abnormally dreary day. Not in weather per se, but in general atmosphere. The Edge was still plain, and lacking in any extra bodies. Basically, her already poor social skills were beginning to dwindle down the drain with the rest of her life. So, patrolling seemed to be the best thing to do. What better way to make friends than to go around looking for people breaking protocol? There isn't exactly a set protocol, but it was nice to think she had one to follow.

They followed around the edge of the glass, glancing at the holes every now and then wondering how this all had happened. Some of the holes were large enough to jump through, while other parts cracked over a couple of feet like lightening. Whatever had caused this, the Edge had a much deeper root than she had originally thought. When Seele had taken her to the Falls, everything there seemed new. The waterfalls were crisp and untouched, the land just as wild and beautiful as any hidden oasis. Gently, she pressed her nose against the side, following the perforations until something else caught her eye.

A stranger was standing near the edge of the boarder, wings tucked against her side like she was waiting. Edgar screeched from above, swooping down to land on Elsa's head. Once he was seated, the two approached, Elsa making it a point to not be quiet. "Hello miss. What brings you to the Edge today?" Edgar peeped, flapping his wings to signify his hello. "My name is Elsa, and my companion is Edgar." She offered a light smile, so far so good. As long as she didn't try to rip her to shreds, all would be well.
