Nephele
It was an off putting thought, the entire of Helovia's residents accosted by illnesses not cured by conventional means. Those with talents and knowledge in magic would be much needed, if this disease was any sort of warning for more to follow, if any were. The Homeland was a strange place, and Nephele hadn't much clue how much it had changed since her hooves last made contact with home soil. "I do envy you not having wings at this moment in time," Nephele commented, a light tone of humor coating her warm voice, "I feel rather squished with the added feathers." Shifting her wings with her words, the appendages brushing against the nearby tree and brush before retreating back to her sturdy frame. Helovia did have that effect, you could fly as far as your wings would take you on the wind, and indulge in those wanderers thoughts — but Helovia would always call you back in the end. "It is, try as I might, I never strayed until recently and even then, I never stayed away for too long." Mulling over the proposition some more, chest rumbling in silent amusement when Tembovu acknowledged the struggle Thresholders had to make. "It would be nice to see the sand dunes, and not feel the nip of winter in my bones." She said decidely, the Edge sounded wonderful, but it did not grasp her fully as a place to call home. "I can always come and visit you in the Edge, Tembovu. I could use a friend more of my height, I once met an equine who was as small as Erthë was, my neck was dead from holding my head low for three days straight." Nephele mused, indeed, once she was settled in the Throat she would visit, if the tall stallion didn't object. The Filly's objection and intentions were very much remarkable, passing up a chance to be healed so Nephele could go on to a herdland without illness, and risk infecting others. Nephele regarded her for a long moment, before she reached over (and under the stallion she was taking sanctuary beneath) and mussed the fillies pale locks with her muzzle, a silent thank you. "You make sure you get healed soon, okay? like Tembovu said, you don't want to stunt your wings. If you're in the edge when I visit, I can't give you a flying lesson if you can't fly." Turning now to face the painted pegasus, she gave him an unsure look. She didn't know what the cure entailed, if it wasn't herbs, what magic was being used? Would it it hurt at all or would it be mild? |
