She did now allow her pleasure that both had questions about the mercenaries. She kept her expression and her voice impassive as she answered their questions. "They fight for the underrepresented, for those who cannot fight for themselves, for those who need aid, the oppressed." She knew they were little more than glorified murderers, but what could she do about it? What would she do about it? "They have their standards and will not turn against those deemed friends unless alliances are broken." The dark mare continued on.

It was the nitty gritty, gory details of the fights and murders that she kept from Ophelia. She knew her sister did not want to go against her friends, but they did not hold the same friendships. What Ophelia do if her warriors went against one of her friends? That was something she would have to worry about at a later date.

"There is always evil in the world." Her gaze shifted over to the stallion as she spoke. "I'm sure you've found that many preach about peace but have half-assed ways to try and achieve it. You cannot achieve peace or any form of equality if you are not willing to fight and die for it. As individuals we fight for many different things, some for personal gain others for the thrill of the fight. As a group we fight and we kill for peace, as terribly ironic as it might sound. I know of no other ways to achieve it than to strike fear into the heart of those who would do harm to the defenseless because more often than not diplomacy fails."
