The bird grows exuberant that you have decided to make chase, and it begins to fly closer to you. It swoops beneath your head and then above, maneuvering through the air with profound finesse. Something glitters within its beak; something you failed to notice previously. It had since fallen somewhat from its grasp, so that a deep purple gem can be clearly seen as it dangles from a chain in the bird's mouth. It spins through the air, the cool clasp of frostfall stark in your lungs.

It seems to be begging for an aerial race, as it begins to elevate into the sky. Perhaps if you win, you will be able to study the precious stone for yourself, which begins to glow faintly in the sunlight. Perhaps it harbors more power than meets the eye?
