When the mare alighted, the celestial dove slowly waddled toward her, talons squelching the soft snow. Its anomalous heat caused some of the powder to melt, causing large prints to dapple the ashen mantle. It stopped in front of the mare and dropped the amulet at her hooves, seemingly as a reward for partaking in its aerial cavort.

Upon doing so, it took to the sky, this time, it seemed, for good.

As you study the stone closer, you notice it begins to glow. Perhaps unbeknownst to you is the fact that this particular stone is a deflection amulet, capable of obviating harmful magic. Where the bird may have found such a treasure remains a mystery, and it would appear as though you may never know the origins of the peculiar creature of the stars.
