Horn: She sprouts a crown of smooth, crimson-tipped, white horns, which radiate around her head. Another, much smaller white horn curves slightly upward from just above her nostrils.
Eyes: Light orange-yellow
Mane: Short, black
Body: Powerful, with strong legs and a thicker neck, taking far more after the Percheron in her than the Andalusian. While not built for speed, it is evident that Wessex is built for something, and is accustomed to exercise. Mottled grey.
Hooves: Silver
Markings: Three glow-in-the-dark slashes run down her rear right flank, while a silver Viking-style dragon curls around all the way up her front left leg, to her shoulder and base of her neck.
Tail: Black

PERSONALITY

Bold. Brash. Harsh. Heavy. Loyal. Critical. Demanding. Brave. Protective.

Wessex has seen and done much more than any two-year-old should have, even if that girl is the daughter of a Warrior Queen in a matriarchal society. She is a woman of few words, somber and gruff. An easy way to describe her is to say that she has a hardened heart, and is hesitant to count on others. She has a great admiration for warriors, and more than a little disdain for the weak. Logical, almost to a fault, by calculating the worth of relationships which often makes her seem cold. She strives to be the best, and if she loses, will double down on her efforts to master said skill/art, etc. Relieves stress with exercise. Would give her loyalty in a heartbeat to a woman that reminds her of her mother. Protective of her 'people,' whomever that may be.

HISTORY

Born into a world that was already under attack, Wessex quickly learned the meaning of life and death. First came the spores; creating a mold that inched its way across the land, killing everything it covered in decay and rot and filling the air with more of its kind. Fields died, homes fell, and water became brackish unless it was covered. Once the mold colonized the land, effectively weakening her people through starvation and thirst, the monsters came, picking off their young and elderly.

Those who survived attacks began to sprout horns - and when they did, fought back against the monsters. But the force was too little, too late; it was a full blown infestation. Their land bordered the sea, and as the inhabitants of the kingdom were backed against the edge, many chose to try and find ways out, but they were never seen from or heard of again. Wessex's mother, the Queen, tried to lead the last of her people to safety, but just as salvation seemed to be in reach, they were set upon by a small hunting band of Monsters. Her mother commanded that Wessex run - so she did - but as Wessex is not made for speed, one of the Monsters almost caught her, leaving her with a permanent parting gift from the beasts that devoured her home. The warrior-maid wandered for a year after that, sometimes working as a mercenary and doing whatever it was that put her newfound horns to good use in whatever way she could.
