Despite her passionate nature, she comes across to many as reserved, and is fond of solitude. She finds nature to be captivating and beautiful. One of her greatest fascinations is the sky and space. She is very knowledgeable about the constellations and the myths surrounding them. She is very poetic, often reciting verses she learned from her mother when she was young. She has always been a peaceful, quiet soul, perhaps even a bit withdrawn, and although she has come to accept this, she sometimes wishes she were more charismatic.

life; a beautiful war

The first thing the star-breather ever felt was the gentle lapping of ocean waves against her dank, peppered hide. She was born at Coquina Tides, a beach in the vast, mysterious nation known as Valryn, the land of Twilight, situated so far south on the globe of Loorien that the light of day never brightened past dusk and dawn: an endless cycle of such. Perhaps its position on the globe was not the only cause of this. Some sort of magic must've kept the sun from fully rising, but who's to say for certain?

Cassiopeia's birth had been fairly free of stress for the mare who delivered the filly: a comely dame by the name of Khalira, admired for her glamorously enrapturing beauty. Some might say she was something of a seductress, alluring and persuasive. Still, the foal she produced was one conceived of genuine love, her first daughter, sired by a man well trained in the art of combat; a weathered and well-respected warrior of the King's army. Both belonged to the Kingdom of Altraira, a domain inhabited strictly by only those of winged blood. Her parents' love hadn't been forbidden nor kept secret. In fact, copulation between herd members was both expected and encouraged. She was not an accident nor did she possess any apparent extraordinary traits. She was a normal filly and the first few months of her life were neither unusual nor particularly eventful. She was average.

Her lineage is forged forged from a long line of healers. Before Khalira became the physician of Altraira came her mother before her, and so the tradition was to continue. Cassiopeia was to become the next healer. She was content with this. In fact, she was rather proud to help others in such a way. She had never expected or yearned to be anything other than average.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION She laid by his side as he gave his final breath, and even as death, the eternal slumber, overcame him, coveting the life by which he was once so intoxicated by, she could not bring herself to leave him. She likely would have stayed there for hours had she not been escorted home by Cerevisi. Altair was cremated, as are all casualties of war in Valryn. And that was it. Her father was gone forever from her life.
